Dr. Robert Lepley joined TIS Group during
the fall 2000 as Vice President and Research
Strategist. Bob was previously employed as a
research scientist in the pharmaceutical
industry and as a university faculty member.
Bob has published his scientific work in
peer reviewed, high impact scientific
journals such as the Journal of Biological
Chemistry and the Journal of Clinical
Investigation as well as writing book
chapters. With over 20-years of professional
experience in biomedical research, Bob is
thoroughly familiar with the biomedical R&D
landscape for both drugs and devices from
early discovery research through the FDA
clinical trial process. At TIS Group, Bob’s
principal areas of research focus are
biomedical drugs and devices, energy and
geopolitics. Bob serves TIS Group as a
managing director and contributes regularly
to the monthly TIS Group Red and Blue book
publications and to the daily Market
Intelligence Report e-mail.

Andrew Roalstad, MBA.

Mr. Roalstad is Portfolio Manager,
Analyst, and Head Trader at TIS Group.
Andrew has appreciable experience in
trading a wide range of investment
vehicles, including domestic and
international equities & bonds, both
long and short, currencies,
ETFs
options, futures contracts and emerging
market securities. He manages three
portfolios, including a U.S. Small-Cap
Equity strategy, a U.S. Equity strategy,
and a pure Exchange-Traded Fund product,
called the
Splitrock
Investment Strategies. His
expertise and proprietary trading
techniques have enabled him to
consistently outperform his portfolio
benchmarks. His monthly-published
“Investment Theme” research, backed by
solid quantitative and fundamental
analysis, generates profitable synergies
for the firm’s managed accounts.
Andrew has been involved in the

Vaughn Francis, Managing Director of Business Development.
Mr.
Francis joined TIS Group in 2002 as the
partner responsible for business
Development. Previously, Vaughn was
the Director of Consultant Relations for
Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Minnesota,
specializing in large and national accounts.
Other marketing experience includes: Aon
Consulting, Delta dental, and advertising
sales in several media. Vaughn graduated from San Diego State
University with a BA in Economics and served as an
engineer officer
in the Army Reserves, and is married with
four children.
